Writing Assignment : Be sure you bring in a FINAL draft to class.

SURPRISE GUEST SPEAKER! Meet a young woman who is using her writing skills to impact the city of Knoxville! My friend will be sharing the importance of strong writing skills and how they are implemented in her career with Compassion Coalition.
Additionally, she was home educated in her elementary years by her mother. Come with questions for this gifted writer!
Singular and Plural Points, Paragraphs Using Different Writing Forms, Time Order Forms [References 23, 26 (p.20-22)]
Assignments Due 10/17
Workbook Assignment: Ch. 7 Vocabulary and at least two entries in your Journal. (You will be doing the exercises and sentences next week for Ch. 7)
Writing Assignments:
1.) Write a thank you note to our guest speaker for her time with our class. Please share what you liked about her presentation and something you learned from her. Use your best handwriting. I will be mailing these from the class! (Refer to Reference 68 on p. 55 if you are unsure about writing a thank you note.)
2.) Write a three-point expository paragraph on one of the following topics. Be sure you revise and edit it before turning in a “final draft” copy to me next week. Be sure to underline at least two vocabulary words from previous weeks.

Remember the first person pronouns are I, we, me, us, my, mine, our ours
The Third Person pronouns are he,his, him, she her, hers, it its, they their, theirs, and them
(Avoid using the word “you” in your paragraphs!)
